Located in the Historic Downtown Area of Galax, Virginia, the Rex Theater first opened it’s doors in 1940. Today, the Rex Theater is a “live music” venue featuring a wide variety of local, regional, and national acts.

Caroline Owens is a 2X IBMA & SPBGMA nominated Bluegrass Vocalist and recording artist for Skyline Records of Nashville, TN. She has performed alongside many of the music industry's most accomplished artists such as: Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, Suzanne Cox, The Isaacs, Larry Gatlin, Larry Cordle, Carl Jackson, The Malpass Brothers, Darin & Brooke Aldridge and many others.

Since forming Kinnfolk in late 2018, the pair have played at festivals and listening rooms throughout Virginia and beyond. They released their self-titled debut album on March 7, 2020 (just one week before COVID-19 shut the state down) and a second album, The Knotted Circle, on October 14, 2022. As their notoriety has expanded worldwide, their music has been featured on podcasts and radio programs across the globe.
