Please consider joining us celebrate Music, Arts & Literature!
From Chuck Riedhammer, Director of Tourism and Economic Development with the City of Galax (AKA: This festival coordinator, also)
Because Chestnut Creek School of the Arts will be such an important part of our Downtown Cultural Arts District, we would like it to be front and center during our Leaf & String Festival, June 12th & 13th 2009.This event has become a "Celebration of Music, Art & Literature" and proudly features the some of the best our region has to offer.
We are currently seeking traditional artisans and craftspeople to set up booth space during the event. In the past, our artisans have done very well and we have a good selection of returning vendors. This is a great opportunity to promote your creations and/or any upcoming classes at CCSA. It's also a great way to generate some income.
The event will be promoted heavily throughout the region in print and radio and the Friday night headliner at the Historic Rex Theater will be Wayne Henderson and Jeff Little. There will also be extended festival hours to take advantage of the increased traffic from our music venues.
If you would like to apply to be an artisan vendor at this year's Leaf & String Festival, please download the attached entry form and mail it to Chuck Riedhammer, Director of Tourism at the City of Galax.Detailed information is attached.
You can call 276-238-8130 or write criedhammer@galaxcity.org for more information.
